I worked with them for 6 months and first 5 months was ok, but then i changed agents (within the company) and have already sold 3 works in 3 weeks and am in talks with 2 galleries. Find the rep that is right for you, all round great but more for sales than exposure.

they took about 3 months to get up and running but explained that then once i was being promoted etc i sold in the first week, so no complaints. Great knowledge of art and feedback from staff.

They just make you send fotos and statements and then they stop communicating with you. So far, half year after I paid, nothing happened. So for me it is a fake.

Not sure about any reviews that are negative about them. Seem suspect and not legit because they do plenty of fairs and exhibitions. But maybe the confusion is because they are not a gallery- but dont claim to be. they are an art rep/agent/pr. They are phenomenal with advisory and career guidance. Not a scam and a legit organization but not a gallery.

They did not sell any of my original works - they are more focused on commissions which is not a bad thing, sales and deals are great in this climate but i would like to be focused more on selling current works. They got me commissions for larger pieces. They seem to prefer commercial work. Great sales not so much with PR.

THEY ACTUALLY PAY FOR SHIPPING OF ART. They insured my sculptures for art expo and paid for the transport of sold and unsold works. I wish they were a gallery but as an agent they have been marvelous.

Great Art agents. In my first year I did Scope Miami basel and Art Expo New york. There projects are art fair based but they are not an art gallery. But these days its better to have an agent than a gallery that does nothing. The quality and standard is strong.

I actually work with them- have been represented for almost 3 years. The wave of negative reviews is so suspect. This site seems to just be a place for the competition to bash them.

Not vanity- they invest in you too. The way an agent/artist partnership should be. Balanced.

Know what they are doing. Expert guidance but more art advisory than gallery. Hard to get accepted (i recommended 2 friends who they passed on) but honestly that mostly means their standards are higher than others. Not sure about sales because all my work is sold and i only do commissions but great curation. Arranged an art licensing deal for me.

They are stellar. I showed works at a gallery in new york 3 times in one year. sold at each show and they paid to ship and insure my work. In 32 years in art no gallery agent or rep ever did that.

I only gave marketing lower because i think they are more private sales than promo but that could be just my story.

There is alot of misconception about them but they are 100% legit and can transform the direction of your work and career. Be clear- They are not a gallery, they are an agency and management company. I have done a couple of art fairs with them and they sell and get the deal done professionally. I have some colleagues who work with them also and i think for sales success they have some agents who are more focused on sales than marketing and PR. Make sure you are clear with your goals and they will achieve them. They are really good with consultation, and curation.

I have not work with them, so cant comment about their results, communication, exhibitions etc. Like i said i do not work with them but really wanted too. In the end I could not due to an exclusivity clause i had with another gallery that meant i couldn't work with another agent in NYC.

My work was on their site before we realized i couldn't proceed for about 2 weeks, from that brief time they had interest in my work and even thought i wouldn't work with them they passed on the buyers info and requests and i got a successful sale directly. I have had horrid experiences with dealers and this ethical and professional handling by them stuck with me.

Like i said, i cant comment on what results i would get working with them long terms but a sale in a couple of weeks and there swift assistance (for no gain) is unheard of these days.

My friend who is also an artist works with them a long time. She is always selling and showing and bragging about what they do. I have submitted work half a dozen times and they are uninterested in anything that doesn't fit with their curators approval. She raves about them but i would think they need a more open mind about considering other artists to represent.

I happen to be searching and found this page. I have worked with them almost 4 years, and as an artist who knows how pages like this end up influencing artists perception I thought i could shed some insight. The first year i worked with art productions it just online and got very little result beyond more traffic to my website. In 15 months i made 2 sales, which is more than i got with Saatchi and fine art America but i expected more. After the second sale i started working on fairs and exhibitions with them and within a few months i got art gallery representation Europe and sold 5 works over 2 exhibitions. They also redesigned my website which led to other attention. They are stronger and more focused on sales and rebranding than promotion and marketing. I would say from experience they really excel and get results with real representation and not just with website listing.

I would have rated this organisation as '0' but this option was not available here.

Definitely a SCAM!
I signed up with them and they are manipulative and deceptive. They took my money without any result. The only thing that they have done is put my artwork up in the featured artist page to make it appear as if they are representing me (which they did before I had even paid) but they haven't come through with any of the other services they offered.

I can't imagine how the other people who have left nice comments about Art Production NYC could be real people because Art Productions are clearly CRIMINALS!

I have been working with them a few years and
had several really great projects with them and sold successfully. They are not a gallery, but art agents and placed my work in alot of fairs and some gallery shows. It feels like a partnership because they pay for shipping of my art always and no one in my whole career did that.

They tend to focus on more modern art, and its been helpful for someone like me whose art is very commercial, I am taken more seriously and my prices increased with their clientele. I think people confuse them because they are not a gallery but i have had gallery shows with them AND because of them.

But more than the sales and shows, there consultation, advice and guidance has been the most important thing.

My only complaint is that i tried to have them represent a friend of mine, and they were not interested - but i cant really fault them for that. Being selective about their artists could only really be a good thing in the end. Alot of people i worked with are not so and are too inclusive if you ask me!

I just started. Seems good so far, very knowledgeable and informed staff. Def not a scam-i did a fair amount of research (including going to one of their exhibition openings and meeting in person at there office etc) before deciding work work with them. But i cant really comment on how bad or good yet. So far so good. Will do follow up report soon

They are very professional, but more art representation/agency than a gallery. I have been in 3 projects which all turned out great, i have not sold at exhibitions but did from their website a several times and got 2 exhibitions at other galleries because of their work and promo. They do good work at art fairs and exhibitions.

My only issue is that sometimes their staff are slow to reply/respond but always do eventually. But i would rather sell (which i do with them) and only hear from them sporadically that get emails constantly but NEVER sell anything (my experience with other galleries).

All in all i recommend if your focus is strong guidance, advice and sales. Basically good connections with collectors and clients, not always great communication.

I worked with them on one show, its early days but they are legit and did a good job with the exhibition. There communication could be more frequent for sure. I only sold one work out of 3 but got paid fast and was pleased. We will see how other shows go
